Three years of drought.. This is great. A refreshing change.. to have it pour down hard!

1. Drove through a major-league cloudburst about an hour ago...

...but now the sun is out...BRIGHT...and it's like a zillion little diamonds sparkling across the fallen rain. The last few days have been a real visual treat, the whole spectrum...this morning was grey and overcast, now it's like an Indian Summer afternoon, but cold.

2. Last week, Tuesday, light rain, but Wednesday, heavy rain, all
over Los Angeles.
Dismal. But temporary. I don't like rain.

4. My dear AsahinaKimi!
I'm glad to hear it!

I just hope it's snowing in the Sierras...that's where our (SoCal) water comes from!

5. Congratulations. Having lived through several major droughts, I know how you feel.
When Hurricane Floyd hit here in 1998, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

7. Boon. What do you think you 'need' rain for? Are you a farmer in

Kansas with a crop of kern in the ground?
Notice, Peggy, dear Peggy has already mentioned that the rain should be sent to nor Cal, where it usually goes, as that is where Los Angeles gets water from, from the Sierra, from the snow pack.
Not out of the storm channels in Los Angeles.
In 1913 there was a guy called Mulholland, and he built the first aqueduct to bring the water to Los Angeles. Now there are 15 or 20.
So, let us send that rain to nor Cal, & the high Sierra. Amen. That's where it goes on it's own anyway, usually.
All that rain brings Los Angeles is a whole lotta auto accidents. Which we don't really need, as we usually have way more than our fair share.
