1. Why wouldn't "Death Race 2000" work today?

Besides the date needing updating... "Death Race 2020" or whatever seems rather tame, compared to some of the stuff out there now. Of course, the grossest movies have innocuous sounding names like "Saw" and "Hostel" I guess.
