Is it me or is TV starting to suck horribly?
I tried watching the new heroes and couldnt make it through the first 20 min of the new season it was so boring. I tried watching that show Glee but it just tries to hard to be funny.

The Cleveland Show sucks and the new season of Its Always Sunny isnt as funny as the old ones.

WTF is going on why is TV being so lazy?

2. I thought the second season of True Blood was getting sillier and sillier as it went on...
...but I think now the show was probably pretty silly the first season too and it's just that the novelty of the thing is starting to wear off on me.

3. Seems to be the theme
They try to come up with a new fresh idea for a show and can only manage to get a little whiles worth of good story but soon run out of ideas and it becomes nonsense.

And they wont kill a show when it deserves to die. Like Heroes. Kill that shit already.

7. Yes, but I have my limits. Godrick was annoying and that Valley Girl vampire queen was...
...totally uncalled for. :hurts:

That reverend, his wife, and the jealous jock at Jesus camp were pretty funny though.

it's quite good. Not as good as LOST or BSG, but still a great show. Similar in writing style to both Alias and LOST. And the blu-ray of it looks amazing.

The ratings are BRUTAL on Dollhouse.

And I love Joss Whedon as much as anyone, but Dollhouse just isn't very good.

47. I really like it as well
very different from all his other shows, but the second half of season 1 of Dollhouse was awesome - the unaired ep "Epitaph One" was AMAZING and season 2 is off to a strong start from a writing standpoint. yes, i know the ratings suck, but they sucked for Arrested Development too and that turned out to be one of the funniest shows of all time. Go Dollhouse!

being created by the same guy and what not. Fast Forward might fill the gap - dunno - haven't had a chance to watch the premiere yet. I'm really digging Fringe - but not nearly as much as LOST. Still, good solid show.

I don't watch anything on network TV these days, except Law and Order SVU, which is my TV equivalent of comfort food.

Not that cable is all that great either since BSG went off the air, but Stargate Universe is sort of promising, in terms of sci-fi. I also really like Sons of Anarchy on FX.

22. My list of watchable tv
Note, though, that most of them are on Friday night!

Keith & Rachel, every week night
Bones
The Mentalist
Dollhouse
Ghost Whisperer
Medium
Monk
Psych
Dog Whisperer

Plus two that aren't currently on (their "seasons" are counter to regular "seasons" - i.e., they have new eps when regular tv is in reruns.):

Warehouse 13
Eureka

I've also been enjoying the new show, The Forgotten, but I'm not prepared to endorse it yet. We'll see how it holds up. I also watched the premiere of Star Gate Universe. Jury's still out on that one. Could be good, could suck mightily, depending on which way they go.

43. I would have to agree with your list too
except I couldn't make myself watch Dollhouse again after the first one. I know, everyone told me it got continually better throughout the first season but I just couldn't do it.

Bones is kind of wearing on me now too, the characters have gotten kind of one dimensional. Yea we get it, Brennan is socially inept, Booth's not the brightest and Angela is a slut. (gee maybe I don't like this show anymore.)

I would also add The Office to my list of shows I like. I hated it when it first came on but now I'm obsessed with it.

28. I Don't Watch Anything But...
...Matthews/Schultz/Olbermann/Maddow and Mad Men.

TV has sucked for a long time. I think I started to become disappointed with television when MTV became more of a "scripted-reality-show-with-music-in-the-background" channel than an actual channel that played music videos. And that turn took place a long time ago.

36. I suspect that it's because everything but everything is genre
Cop, lawyer, doctor.

High school.

Teenage sitcom, young adult sitcom, family sitcom, blaxploitation sitcom.

Angsty middle-aged people.

Sci-fi shows, "quirky" shows.

Fish-out-of-water shows, shows where the main character is a jerk.

It seems like all the shows that are getting a lot of attention in the last few years are shows that do not neatly fit into one of these categories, such as the Sopranos, Big Love, Mad Men, Burn Notice, and so forth. Yes, there are a few exceptions, but it seems like the same thing over and over and over again.

44. I totally agree.
"Cop, lawyer, doctor" shows - - - and don't forget crime scene investigations. Ugh. Enough already.

Mad Men and Big Love are out of the ordinary and I watch them. I've tried watching the new network sitcoms. So not funny. I loved Lost the first few years, then it just got silly. Prison Break held my interest.

Now I mainly record and watch movies.

51. The BBC has great shows
you can download them here so you don't have to wait for BBC America - this site is nothing but BBC stuff and shows are usually posted within a few hour of it having aired in the UK: http://thebox.bz/ Is a legit site, no viruses or anything and they have older stuff as well. There is no way I'm going to fall behind the brits on my Doctor Who! Takes way too long for BBC America to get them and they are all cut up with commercials unlike their BBC counterparts which have no commercials at all. Also - LOVED Torchwood: Children of Earth.

40. I am actually watching more tv this season than I have in years
ABC is pissing me off by having some really good shows because I swore that they could go to hell and I wouldn't watch anymore because they cancelled Pushing Daisies.

I will not miss a moment of FlashForward. I also make time for Glee.
Then I will watch Modern Family, Cougar Town and Eastwick on hulu. They are a guilty pleasure.

Also, pretty stoked about the new season of The Graham Norton Show starting this Saturday on BBC (after I watch Robin Hood - another guilty pleasure).

"Starting to suck" since MTV stopped playing music videos.

Beavis and Butt-head, the x-files, and South park were just a week distraction.

there have been gems, like Lexx, and the Upright Citizens Brigade, and most of the David E. Kelly's work.....
but for the most part, T.V. started to suck in the late 80's/early 90's
