a quick manson story

back in 76 when the paperback version of helter skelter had just come out.
My friend cindy read it and freaked.
so being the good friend that i was, i went to the Kansas city library and got
a photostat done of the cover of life magazine with the big Manson photo on it .
Anyway I wrote on the back of it "charlie wants you to have a merry xmas"
and i mailed it to her.
She got it and called to curse me out royally and then she did not speak to me for a week.

best xmas card i ever sent.
