I am looking for a new cell phone? Do you have any ideas? I don't need internet and stuff on it. I am thinking about a Sony Ericson.

I can't give you any advice on phones since you're on the side of the globe. If you were here I'd say Cricket as a service provider. Unlimited calls and text inside the country for a low rate of $35-$40. I've seen some posts here that call it a crappy service but it's the best cell phone I've ever owned and it's affordable and it doesn't charge you an arm and a leg if you talk to much.

I was at Grandfather Mountain the first time last year with AirmensMom and harleydad. I enjoyed it tremendously, even though it was rather foggy. But the weather Gods were kind and opened up the clouds when we were on top. The view was breathtaking.

Can't advise you on the purchase of a cell phone. I always get mine free when I "re-sign up", although I'm totally satisfied with my provider (AT&T) I think I'm going to shop around to see if I can get a provider that charges a bit less.

I'm having a mixed day today.

I walk short distances in the house, but one of our dogs decided to walk between my feet this morning and I tripped and fell, so now I'm all kinds of pain. No more walking for me for the rest of the day. I'm now using the wheelchair even indoors. :9

But I found out that I'm eligible for a federal subsidy of my COBRA insurance, so it's going to cost me 65% less that what it has been costing me, and I'm getting a rebate. Yay! Getting money back is very good.

And, today I start a new med to replace the one I became allergic too that has been causing me so many problems the past 2 months. So hopefully this will work out well.

I'll take the good with the bad. :)

I've got a ton of stuff to do...including finishing the calendar...so yesterday I went shopping with my mum :rofl:


I'd give you advice about a new phone, but I'm the kind of person who just takes whatever the company is offering free to upgrade service. I did pay a little more for my current phone, which is by samsung, and I mostly really like it - my one problem with it is that although they say it's a music phone, it won't let you use a song as a ringtone, which kind of bummed me out. :shrug:

So did you buy anything yesterday? I went shopping too and bought me a white/red blouse. Really cute.

At the moment I have a Nokia. I like it. But the battery starts to get weak. It kinda gets empty soon even if I don't use it. What I like about the Sony Ericson I might get is that it has a good camera. I don't need a cell to go online or do all that crap. I want to send text messages, talk on the phone and take a pic every now and then.

I bought a new pair of jeans and a red sweater. They look cute together :-)

My mum got a new pair of shoes. We basically wandered around the mall and then did dinner. It was fun, but it didn't help me get any of my work done. :silly:

I use cell phones the same way - to talk, take the occasional pic and texting. I refuse to pay for an internet plan, so that's it.

I have to get the calendar closer to done tonight and watch the movie Platoon for class. Tomorrow I am going to work on a paper that's due next week and clean (but luckily my apartment doesn't need too much work) because friends are coming in late in the evening, around 11:00pm or so. We are going to the Renaissance Fair on Saturday. They'll head home Sunday morning and then I'll do more reading for class. Whew. Hopefully after this weekend, things will slow down a little.
