Is youtube lagging for anyone else?
I used to be all over that site and click videos at random and it would just play,no problem. Now the videos lag for me. Is it me or youtube?

3. I replied to a similar question a couple of days ago. Only one other person besides
the OP reported having trouble, but I have for weeks. It'll play a video and then won't play the same one on the next try, or vice versa etc...

4. Yes, same here.
I moved upstairs recently and I am feeding off my modem in my old place. I am sure once I go down and reboot the modem it will make this icky lag go away.

5. Mr. low tech doofus replying here--by rebooting the modem, is that just unplugging
the modem and then plugging back in? Gonna try that now....it's really been annoying. Among the other things I couldn't get on you tube last night was Olbermann but at least someone posted the direct MSNBC link and watched it on that.

6. Unplugged and replugged in --still doing it. Damn.......
or is it something else you meant about rebooting the modem? But I do wonder what has been going on with you tube, since I know of at least 3 or 4 other DUers that have reported problems in recent weeks. One of my friends suggested that maybe it's just high user volume, and you tube can't handle it all, but I don't know. The volume can't have made that sudden a jump; I had never had this kind of problem till a few weeks ago...

8. Didn't work for me either
Maybe it's the parts of the country we are in that is bottlenecking youtube. I have no idea, all my other sites including other video sites load without a problem.

7. I've been having problems with Youtube the past few weeks.
Videos used to download with no problems. Now they'll load for about 15-30 seconds at a time, then freeze.

I don't know what's up.

10. Actually it was Tommy C. I was referring to , when I said I'd replied to another OP about this
Edited on Thu Oct-08-09 12:07 PM by abq e streeter
I thought maybe it was local, since the only other person to reply to that thread and was also having problems was also in New Mexico, and I actually posted this question in the NM forum, but the 2 people that replied had no trouble ( both were in SE NM). You're in Denver I see, so still I-25 corridor, but Tommy is somewhere out east I think (?). Mine doesn't freeze; it just either will or won't load a video, period, but no pattern to it; the same one will play just fine one time, and then won't the next 5 times I try it, then work again. Sometimes vice versa, and some just won't play at all...

11. That's exactly what I am going through right now
i am forced to buffer the whole clip before I play it to get a smooth playback.
