4. Ribeye, Baked Potato
and a nice cold beer at a cozy little out of the way place in South Mississippi. Eating outside on a picnic table and listening to live country music. Surrounded by lots of liberals, believe it or not.

7. Actually, there is a cozy little handful of us
and, believe it or not, we have a democratic congressman who, while not the most liberal representative, holds his own when crossing swords with the white house. He's a coast guard vet and has a pretty safe seat but the repukes target him every year, so far to no avail.

19. Believe it or not, I used the Crock-Pot again today.
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 10:15 PM by DemoTex
We got it as a wedding present 30 years ago. Used it that first year, then deep-sixed it. I found it in the Dallas house and brought it here to the mountains. It is great for these long days of house painting and the like. The basic drill is cut up red potatoes, onions, carrots, and maybe turnip roots and throw them in the bottom of the crock-pot. Then brown the meat (chuck roast, pork roast, stew meat) and throw it in on top of the veges. Cook for 8 hours. Season at six hours. Funky cooking for funky mountain living.
