Just watched 30 Days of Night.

All in all, it it wasn't a bad horror movie. The last few minutes kind of made it fall apart for me, but up until then it was a pretty decent vampire flick.

It was kind of weird though because the main vampire looks exactly like a younger version of my dead grandfather.

1. I liked it.

I much prefer vampire flicks like 30 days, Lost Boys, Near Dark. They are much better then flicks like Twilight, Interview with A Vampire. I like my vampires to be monsters. Not pale emo-boys.

30 Days was also pretty faithful to the original graphic novel.

2. Yeah, I thought the vampires were the strong point.

They were monsters. Ugly, disgusting, and unrepentantly immoral. I thought the attempt to use the woman as bait was brilliant and the "God?... No God." line was great.

My main problem was how anti-climatic the final fight was, and the fact that there is NO WAY that oil would start on fire that easily. Especially, unrefined oil on snow. I don't like screeching monsters either. It's turning into a cliche.
