Why do you think people like porn?

Just a curious question. For me, I think that it is any one of two reasons.

1. They don't have a relationship and it fills a void.

2. Because American society is soo repressed by making it taboo.


I remember watching this Larry King With Dr. Laura on it. She said that people who watch porn watch it because they don't want a relationship. She said that they don't want any of the personal connection and porn is impersonal. That is such a stupid hypothesis from a stupid person who thinks she is an expert in psychology but does not even have a degree in it.

Your reason #1 doesn't explain why people in a meaningful, sexually satisfying relation choose to add to that satisfaction by looking at porn. They do, from my experience.

Your reason #2 doesn't explain why people in non-repressed societies where it is not taboo like porn. I'm talking about most of Europe, here.

I think people like porn because it stimulates them sexually and they get really good orgasms as a result. Simple as that.

Male or female, try looking at (seems best for most males) or reading (seems best for most females) some porn and see what it does for you. Loosen up.
