Ty Burrell (the "cool" dad). He's one of the good guys. I don't even care about the content of the show; I'm just glad to see him having the kind of steady work he's getting and getting the notice he deserves as an actor. Ty is genuinely good people.

4. He's pretty funny.

I think in his character he channels a lot of Steve Carell's Michael Scott character, but that's a good thing, and he does it well. I love the last episode how he tried in vain to cover up his wife's eyes when the neighbor woman came to the house.
