16. Not to mention a few crossover hits. Most artists would sell their mother's soul for that career.

15. The Georgia Satellites weren't really a country band
More Southern Rock really..... and they had at least one other hit (besides the obvious one)

...which was later covered by the Hindu Love Gods (aka Warren Zevon & 3/4 of REM).... but I can't find a video for that one. :(

18. A cute little song that got tarnished by its own fame.
If it had never sold, most of the people condemning it now would be lamenting how no one appreciated this underground gem. It was just a cute little song that got overplayed. People love to hate--I've never understand that.

13. I don't know.
I threw that out in pure ignorance.

I worked in a concrete plant in Austin in the early 80's and a co-worker had put a Juice Newton 45 rpm on my desk with a note, saying something like, "TimTom, I'm sorry I missed you and hope to run into you again soon. Juice."

But she never came.

But I did know some of the fine Austin musicians of the late 1970's and early 1980's.

They were all good, hard to see what they failed. Especially Marty Brown (the last one).
