"Historical Edifice"

I am eighty-nine years old, and my favorite person is my wife, Betty. We have six children, fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. In my lifetime I have been an engineer, a land surveyor, an executive, a consultant, and an R.C.A.F. In my retirement I enjoy sports, the arts, travel, nature study, theology, gardening, and volunteer work.

I have had seventy-five years experience taking photographs but no formal education in photography. I go mostly by the good feeling that a subject creates.

This building is of historical significance because it is a symbol of a necessity of North American life. Also, being located at Cape Spear, NF, it is the most easterly building on the continent. One might say that an occupant sits on the brink of the continent, or, during a heavy storm, on the brink of disaster.

4. Hmm - I did the puzzle ok, but my Java console had to kick in
.
.
.

So, if you have a different browser, try that, or just try again?

By the way,

As often as I've checked that site, I never did the puzzle before !

oh, and did you check the "gallery" ?

It's just a short flash thing where the pictures roll in, something like a mini PowerPoint presentation.

and ya -

he's STILL cool at 92!

(Thanks)

2. Charming photo
I suspect the placement of that outhouse had something to do with ocean breezes. It would go on my wall in a heartbeat, does your Dad have it framed?

3. "Does he have it framed ? - " - good question!
.
.
.

I don't KNOW!

BUT

He won first prize for it in a magazine many years ago, I am not sure if it was the MTO ( Ministry of Transportation, Ontario) or in a Land Surveyors Magazine. - it was something like that

I'll question him next time we chat

OOOHHHH

"put it on the wall"

good idea,

I just set it as wallpaper !

gives ya that "outdoorsy" feeling !

:silly:

They put this one of mine on our City's website!

Click here to get to the website thumbnails, it's in the top row.

You can't see it in the thumbnail here, but I waited and waited, and got a boat silhouetted right in the middle of the setting sun !

I took a series of about 7 shots of that sunset and you can find the rest of them here
