Yeah-yeah, this is silly or stoopid or insensitive or bad taste or whatever in those senses.

But when Rick LAZIO went SPLAT on the pavement while walking in a parade, I ***KNEW*** he was going to lose that election. Now, those saavy about NY politics might say the outcome was a no-brainer, but I say the SPLAT fortold it.

But one of my personality or character traits is that I have a need to MAKE SENSE of things, even random things, and resort to ALL kinds of informational input----factual, fanciful, scientific, astrological----in the attempt.

So Conan went BONK!1 He's got pressure. Maybe some reticence to compete full out against somebody he respects, likes, and appreciates (Dave)?!1

How about when LENO was hospitalized in his last few weeks of the Tonight Show after SEVENTEEN YEARS of never missing?!1 A bit of passive resistance?!1
