New TV Shows - Meh.
For the second night in a row, last night I turned off a new TV show after the first few minutes. Last night it was "Modern Family." The night before it was "The Forgotten." I like the premise of "The Forgotten;" I just couldn't get into it.

What I could get into, to my surprise, was "Dancing With The Stars." I like to watch dancing. Did anyone else see Kelly Osborne? Wow!

1. I miss the Primetime shows....
With John Quinones (not to be confused with John "Douchebag" Stossel!).

2. "Community" was okay
We caught up with the 3 weeks of "Mad Men" that we missed

A few seasons ago, there were a bunch of good shows that got cancelled - "Life", "Journeyman", and "Pushing Daisies". None of them survived. Almost makes you reluctant to dive on a new show until you're sure it will make it.

3. I thought Modern Family was pretty good.
At least it gives something I think will be worth watching week after week. For a while it looked like my regular primetime TV shows had really dwindled....True Blood had ended, Lost doesn't start until January, My Name is Earl was cancelled, so basically all I was left with was The Office and Parks and Recreation (with the latter being basically "meh" but I watch it simply to kill time before The Office comes on). Thankfully Curb Your Enthusiasm is back on so that gives me something on Sundays (although I found Bored to Death to be, well, boring).

4. I'm not gonna pick up any new shows this year, I don't think.
I have too many shows to watch already, and not enough time. I have hours and hours of L/O SVU, NCIS, Grey's, etc., on Tivo. I read a lot, and I watch my guilty pleasures, Food Network and Tru TV, too much.
