Bad ass ring.
I was speaking with Alley on the phone about some design issues I'm having with a turquoise ring set with diamonds in tube settings for accents.

Alley did a web search to get a clearer idea of how a tube setting "fits" on a ring and stumbled on this design by a master artist G. Phil Poirier. It is made with Damascus Steel, 18K liner, and diamonds in an 18k tube setting. Freaking gorgeous.

Man I wish I thought of this design, and had the chops to execute it.

1. that is cool
not my style, but a cool design. Are there two diamonds or just one? If one what is the other end of the tube? Must be open for light, I would think...

4. This is my Boyfriends favorite ring it comes in handy

Oktoberfest tested, drinker approved.

This is the real ring Gandalf was looking for. A simple band of stainless steel holds a secret – a secret which could topple regimes . . . of thirsty people. Slip the Ring Thing on your “social finger” (or #4, if you know our Binary Finger shirt) and you are ready to tackle any mob of the “unquenched.”

No more searching through your desk drawer for bottle openers. You will always have one when you wear your Ring Thing. And, the Ring Thing is comfortable to wear; this entire description was written while wearing a Ring Thing.

10. I was a little hesitant to click on this
due to the subject line. You know, with all the crazy piercings they are doing these days, I just wasn't sure what I was going to see.

but wouldn't you be worried about the sapphire coming loose? I suppose it would depend on how it was set.

16. Sounds lovely - I love the designs on the metal

I love big, bold and creative metal rings!

It could just be me, I'm always clapping, or banging my hands on furniture, or carrying something - I think that's how the stones on my rings come loose.

13. That does look cool, but
I don't think I could wear something like that. It seems like it would be too clunky and clumsy on my hand. You might be able to hurt someone with it, tho, so it might make a decent self defense tool.

17. I'm partial to this artist
www.billplattes.com

I have one piece of his - it's simple and beautiful and comfortable to wear. Plus, his specialty is opal, which is my birthstone!
