OK, check in! Who all is walking in a parade or a march this weekend?

I was in a parade this morning for a Congressional candidate and a Governor's primary race. I'm scheduled to march in a Labor Parade Monday, followed by circulating petitions at the Labor picnic after.

How about you? You planning to be hitting the streets at all this weekend?

1. No such luck

Labor day:
I'm one of the only non-union, "temporary", "Part-time" employees where I work. I'm working 40 hours this weekend. I'm just getting started on my second 16 hour shift.


I'm in the Detroit Thanksgiving parade as a balloon handler for the last two years.

3. You GO! Feels good to be out there, doesn't it?

I know it sounds strange, but I absolutely adore doing the parades. I really enjoy seeing everybody out there having a good time, and I love waving, smiling, and making throws to people along the parade route. I also get a big kick out of actually talking to people along the route and shaking hands.

It feels even better when it is a candidate that you really like or else a candidate that is running against the ONE turd you just can't stand.
