How are you today?

Sorry I didn't come back yesterday. But my meeting was successful. We are able to give our database to the city and we will have access over the Internet. It will not cost us anything except the conversion of our database to Oracle.

I worked the first time yesterday evening again as cashier after 3 weeks off. There is a new security guy ... a hottie :evilgrin:

My boss is off today - away on a business trip. Only me and my co-worker are at the library. And she will leave at 1pm. Means I am free to do what I want this afternoon .... well OK, I have to pretend I will work but no one will be here to control me :D

5. Computer repair/IT support

Taking my CompTIA A+ exams next week and the week after. Evidently in this economy, my sociology degree w/psych minor isn't worth crap. doh.. oh well. i should be studying now, but my brain no function at 5am after all-nighter.. did manage to get in some studyin earlier though.. hopefully will be able to party at least a bit this weekend. :party:

17. Mornin' Miss H

I am doing good. My weight loss class is today and I weigh in as well. It looks like I've got 8 more pounds to my goal weighing on my scale. The official scale at the weight loss clinic is more accurate, though. So I won't know exactly until later this morning.

It turns out that an error and lack of communication might have lost me a girlfriend. I was seeing a woman about 2 months ago. Nothing serious, we were still getting to know each other. Then I asked her if she'd like to do something one weekend and she said, "I have other plans," just like that- no elaboration. It sounded like a blow off to me, but I let it go. The next day I sent her a message and she never got back to me. I took those two events to mean she wasn't really interested all that much in me and didn't try to write her back. We have this social networking site in common and to make a long story short I ended up writing to her again because of an unrelated issue with her account. She said that I had stopped talking to her so she thought I wasn't interested anymore. I told her about the message and the deal with the blow off. Then I suggested that we give it another shot. She has yet to get back to me. I wrote to her two days ago. We'll see. She never tried to contact me so I think that says enough right there, unless she's just really old-fashioned and my message didn't make it to her.

I met a friend of mine from high school on facebook. I haven't seen him in 16 years. He has invited me to his house this weekend so I guess I'm going to go over there and catch up on things and talk about old times. The timing of this is eerie. He contacted me at a time when I could use a friend.

We also worked at the same place for a while. We were both kind of wild back then. I'm surprised we never got into trouble, we had good times hanging out together as well as the craziness. He got married right after high school and has two children now. It turns out that he works at the same place as my step-father. It's a big place, though, so I guess they never ran across each other.

32. Found an infection

in his intestines, in addition to being very dehydrated. They've started antibiotics and he's looking better and more alive. :) He's been in the hospital all week and I don't know when he's being released.
