Who should do the voice for your GPS?
I've often thought it sheer madness that no one thought to put Alan Rickman's voice on alarm clocks and GPS systems, though I guess the former might make sleepy women (and, for all I know, some of the guys) content to simply lie there and listen to the A.R. voice, and the latter might distract the driver.

But since Bob Dylan apparently is looking to provide the GPS voice to more than one car company, I'd ask...who's your ideal GPS voice?

23. Generally, people tell their nav systems where they want to go.
Edited on Thu Aug-27-09 05:49 PM by Orsino
I can imagine hordes of people going places just because that voice told them to, and clever businessmen giving kickbacks to Stewart.

"Lay in a course for Starbucks."

"But, I'm already late for work--"

"Did I stutter, Ensign? Latte. Nonfat. Venti."

3. Link please to Bob Dylan looking to provide GPS voice??
Really have you heard him lately? His voice is in no shape to be giving someone directions. I love Bob...seriously LOVE HIM, but that would be about as useful as having a lion do the GPS voice.

12. The problem is that it's under "nav sat" vs GPS
because all the articles are British. So it makes it hard to google search.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/bob-dylan/6080312/Bob-Dylan-could-soon-voice-sat-nav-systems.html

I agree - he almost got arrested in Jersey because he was mistaken for a homeless man wandering around people's lawns in the rain - I can't imagine how he SOUNDS.

(My college roommate is a Dylan fanatic, so we're always on the lookout for stuff to torture her with)
