Yes I know I've been unemployed since I earned my degree back in summer of '07. I know I have very little work experience. I know that I'm older than most college grads. But at least fucking give me an interview, and talk to me dammit!
1. Don't feel bad. I've got a killer resume in IT going back to 1981 and I'm in the same boat.
I'm doing contract work from home (through contacts) and doing okay, but that's after seven fucking years with only a handful of interviews. I sent out hundreds of resumes and rarely even got an automated reply that they one had been received. The protocols of years past are just that - "of years past". It has probably been a good five years since I've had an interview. It isn't you. Trust me, it isn't you.
