Two-Time Tony Winner Lauren Bacall On 'TWILIGHT' Vamps: 'Watch Nosferatu Instead!'
Stage and screen legend Lauren Bacall is a fan of "Twitter", but not, it would seem, of the vampire film 'Twilight'.

IMDB.com reveals that Bacall, the two-time Tony-winner for her star turns in Applause and Woman of the Year, wrote about her distain for the teen vamp flick on her "Twitter" page!

The actress commented that, "Yes, I saw Twilight - my granddaughter made me watch it, she said it was the greatest vampire film ever. After the 'film' was over I wanted to smack her across her head with my shoe, but I do not want a (tell-all) book called Grannie Dearest written on me when I die. So instead I gave her a DVD of Murnau's 1922 masterpiece Nosferatu and told her, 'Now that's a vampire film!'

1. I lurve this woman!
So very cool!

I only wish it had been her punching Christopher on the Sopranos rather than the other way around.

3. heh, the shoe thing is classic enough, but even funnier...
Is the idea of giving a teen girl who's all into the "romantic sexy vampire" thing Nosferatu to watch. Bet her granddaughter needed brain bleach after that.

In other news, Lauren Bacall was really freaking hot back in the day:

The Big Sleep is one of my favorite movies ever.

9. Wasn't she just?
A photographic fashion model, she was "discovered" as the result of a spread in Harper's Bazaar by some Hollywood bigshot's wife.

"The Big Sleep" is excellent. She and the actress who played the younger sister were both smokin'. Bacall was also pretty hot in "To Have and Have Not".

14. Nosferatu
scared the crap out of me. I watched it on old school movie reel while a student at Emerson College in Boston. I borrowed it and viewed it just me and a friend in a tiny room which added to the spookiness.
