2. I actually liked that...a lot!
That gal can warble, no doubts there. Simon Cowell may have taken issue with her first big note-it came close to being off key imo. Like Pat Boone did in my OP links, she made that song her own. Not sure but I could almost say I liked her version better than Procol Harum's. (I think that's who did that.

One of my fave covers: Paint it Black as sung by Vanessa Carlton with an EXCELLENT video show thrown in free of charge. For me it's easily better than the original. Music starts at almost 1 minute..."Fire n The Hooooole!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh5f-eV6X-k
