For an unemployed person that's a BIG relief and worthy of an early beer.

:toast: to myself for being such a good fixit guy.

20-year-old Whirlpool has been very reliable. The only repair it's needed was a new felt gasket for the drum about 10 years ago.

Today I disconnected the gas, electricity, and vent hose, removed the back cover, vacuumed out the dust, and tweaked all of the accessible electrical connections to thermostats and what-not. Also vacuumed out the vent pipe and make sure it wasn't clogged. That fixed it.

Dryer owners - Watch the dust!

2. Yeah, my dryer belt fell off
had to put a shim (cut from an aluminum Sprite can) into some pulley retaining thingie. A squirt of WD40, belt back on and badaboom..... working dryer.

Cheap fix!
