If I Fell
There's a fucking lot of music going on in this song, and it's awesome. The Beatles are better than anybody ever, and if you disagree you suck. :)

1. On road trips when it's just me, I try and try to figure out all the individual harmonies. I can't.

truly, there's so much going on in this song, it's almost hard to pay attention to it all.

3. +1. Anyone who denies the influence of the Beatles
in popular culture and music not only suck, but are stupid as well.

6. Agreed, 100%
Even as youngsters (early 20s) they were amazing. I'm 42, so not in their age group, so to speak, but f*cking hell, they were a talented bunch. Amazing, really. What must it be like to be that way? Did they know they were so awesome? Sir Paul nowadays does feel that way, but 40 years ago...
I love the fact that there was a review in the Houston Chronicle many years ago (late 80s early 90s) of a new McCartney record, and it said the record relied too much on the 3 minute pop song. Well! He fucking invented the 3 minute pop song, didn't he? What do you expect?
But, in the end, I'm a shameless Beatles freak, and associate them with everything good that ever came out of the 60s.

11. I saw Paul again last Wednesday here in the DFW area
And he still is fantastic. I keep thinking of my granddad when he was 67 - crippled hands with arthritis and a broken down body. Granted, he was a manuel laborer, but to compare Paul to my granddad in terms of the shape they were in is a no brainer. Hell, Paul is in better shape than many folks I know in their 30's. 2 hour show with no break, then roughly 25 minutes of encore. The man is a freak!!!

9. that's awesome

thanks for that. I think the Beatles don't get the credit they deserve as instrumentalists.
I also don't like anyone doing covers of their song, but you should google Jeff Beck's version of A Day in the Life, it's spectacular. I'm vpned into work so I can't reach it, but it's truly a masterpiece.

ETA, 'I Feel Fine' is one of my absolute favorite songs. What talent!

10. It's really hard to find a decent recording of I Feel Fine on CD. I think the version
without vocals on Youtube is very good. But I've not found a satisfactory one on CD.

I'd LOVE to figure out how to download this youtube version.
