Yesterday I felt real shame

I felt bad for ever being a cop, and I felt shame for being a DU'er. It was because of this thread.

People replying that freepers should have night sticks used on them and other acts of violence. I guess police should use night sticks on blacks, there are people out there that would agree, or night sticks should be used on gays, there are people out there that would agree with it. Just pick your type of person that should be beaten for a non violent crime, some one out there will agree with it. If I really wanted to read replys like this I can go to the Free Republic, never dreamt I could read them here.

saying that they should've been beaten for what they did. One may take issue with wishing that they'd resisted arrest so that they could be, but that's different.

Personally? These asshats were fucking with an election. I wouldn't have shed a tear if they'd provoked C_L a little more. :evilgrin:

who got his fingers tapped for a similar response on a different thread....

We are not perfect here either. We have gut emotional responses. But in the end if those who wrote those responses would be happier at Free Republic, they would be there, not here.

there are any number of immature posters here who display childish glee at various inappropriate things, such as beating up some people. I generally try to ignore all such. You can usually recognize them by the thoroughly vulgar things they say about various Republican women.

4. After looking at that thread my response is... COME ON!

Given the amount of responses, with only two questionable ones, I'd say DU is a model of civility and restraint. Not that I didn't know that already.
