I watched the movie John Q w/ Denzel Washington
timely movie. Underinsured dad holds an emergency room hostage so that his son can get a new heart. Insurance company cap was $20,000. The hospital was going to discharge his son to go home to die.

1. I watched it, too, and thought the same thing.
Granted, it was on in the middle of the night, and I've seen it before, but I thought it was extremely timely. He kept insisting that he had insurance. TNT should give this additional play.;(

2. Susan Heche played a good death panelist in that
He was doing everything possible to pay the hospital's blood money.:(

3. Agreed. She was very good, the whole cast was.
And it was a pretty impressive cast. She was chilling, as was James Woods, typifying the 'death panel" mentality. They should show it in prime time and show clips of it on the news. Everybody should see this film, if they haven't. People need to wake up! :-(
