favorite Kevin Smith film?
since Jersey Girl is coming out soon, I wanted to see what is your fav. kevin smith film: Dogma, Chasing Amy, or Clerks (no! Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back does not even rank close to those films what so ever!) I love Dogma cuz I like critiques on organized religion (and I know the film was NOT against religion).

1. I think JASBSB is better than Dogma and maybe Mallrats too
but my favorite has got to be Chasing Amy. Cause that was the first one I owned

15. Jay and Silent Bob
was funny, don't get me wrong, but seemed to be a ittle more out there and over the top than his other ones. It just seemd like a bunch of funny (and not so funny) jokes put tgether, didn't make me think as much as the other ones.

2. Dogma
Not just an irreverent jibe at the foibles of organized religion, it was the best movie made about religion, period.

If they say that the Holy Spirit was working through Mel Gibson on The Passion of The Christ, then I can say that Dogma was a gift from on high through Kevin Smith.

Hallelujah! (Protestant) /Alleluia! (R.C.)

10. Dogma all the way
It was just so intelligent. I just have to watch anything condemned by the Catholic church and I'm glad I watched this one.

12. NOT "Chasing Amy"
What a mess. Had me when Joey Lauren Adams screams in the rain about respecting her sexual preference..and then lost me when she SWITCHES a minute later. Then Ben's meathead of a character can't get over how many men she used to sleep with, Silent Bob speaks...a LOT, and Jason Lee is made "gay" for comic effect. Awful.

17. That s a tough one
I think "Chasing Amy" is his best film but I like "Dogma" better and "Clarks" is so kooky.

20. DOGMA for sure
any movie starring a Buddy Christ has my vote - I have one for the dash of my car! In a nod to the fab song Plastic Jesus

I don't care if it rains of freezes
'Long as I got my Plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car.

21. "Clerks" because...
it was so totally unexpected. Almost every line was screamingly funny the first time I saw it. All the other movies are great, too, but they just don't pack the punch that "Clerks" did. I must say that I thought "Chasing Amy" the weakest of the lot.
