nowadays at least. it's SO much easier to create the dummy image if you're already there.

the few exceptions are the famous comedy duos like the smothers brothers ... the 'dumb' one was actually the brains ....

i suppose you could argue suzanne sommers, she's far brighter than the 'chrissy' image she has....


but nowadays, it's usually pretty simple: if your image is 'dummy', that's because you were going to get that reputation anyway, so might as well claim you 'meant' to act that way....
