I just broke a half bushel of beans

and my fingers are sore! Now I need to get them cooked and in the freezer

My neighbor came over with them this afternoon.

Harvest time brings out the eath mother in me:)


What have you canned or frozen so far? I have asparagus, sweet cherries, blueberries, corn ,strawberries,and now green beans so far this year.The tomatoes aren't ready yet.

I live alone so i give a lot of it away to my kids . I used to love it when mom gave me her canned stuff!

But we are eating everything! I have only frozen some broccoli so far.

I will probably freeze tomatoes too. We have tons of tomatoes and they are beautiful!
