1. Nice, Ptah!
The only time I see amaryllis' around here is in a box in the store in October. You take them home and plant 'em and they bloom by Christmas!

4. its pretty but I don't think that is any kind of pepper flower
I sure am curious what it is, though.

I have a 4 or 5 year old amaryllis bulb. It puts up some leaves, the grasshopper eat them to the dirt, it tries again and frost gets it, then it gets sun burnt...I've never had a bloom, but it hangs in there!

You may let it rain again, anytime. I have never seen it this brown in August. Dust storms and wildfires. Those are for June.

7. Whatever it might be, I hope it's food.
It has taken over almost half of my 'garden.'

Rain? It's in the history book, I think.

9. I think it's pretty...
I haven't noticed it taking things over...squeezing out other plants. I've mostly seen it growing in places where there are other "weeds".

10. didn't seem to be kudzu, that is for sure
bur it said it will root were the stems touch the soil so it can spread, just not too aggressive about it. I think it is pretty too. Never seen it before. Must have come in with soil or plants/seeds.
