Oh crap. "Mr. Political Science Major" is here at Barnes and Noble.
Search for that name to see my other posts about him. Basically, he's a right-winger who thinks he knows everything because he was a political science major, and is always arguing with me (and getting his ass kicked by my friends) on Facebook.

Anyway, he's here at the store, so I'm hiding. :)

1. I apologize on behalf of everyone else who studies political science.
We're not all jagoffs, I swear.

2. Do you work at Barnes and Noble? I've done that!
I hate retail. I don't care that it's perceived of as "fun" to work at someplace like B and N. It's retail. Slub books here and there, re-arrange, try to look "busy", ask customers if they need help to (try - snort?!) prevent theft....

3. No, just there as customers. My son likes to play with the trains.
Then we went to a restaurant down the street to watch a friend of mine play. My son has had a late night. :)

6. Me too
Worked p/t at one for 4 years. If it was f/t, I would have been confined to the rubber room.

Most of the customers were NOT well-read, or particularly interested in books. Books were just another commodity - another consumer knick-knack, like clothes at Nordstrom's or the wicker widgets at Pier One. B&N gave them another place to "shop 'til you drop!", while they dribbled coffee all over the books, and turned their demon spawn loose.

5. I minored in Political Science.
Found out that History majors were crazier, but also more fun to hang around with.
