1. OMG! I know!
I can't wait until next week. What's going to happen to Jason? Eric went after Sookie when she was in trouble! How will the show down go down? They killed Daphne!

I just finished watching it and fuck if my mind isn't racing. Such an exciting show that leaves you wanting to much more!

2. Everytime an episode ends, I wish I could watch the next one
instead of waiting another week. I love that show.

4. It is CRAZY! I thought last week was crazy, but oh no! Last night
was it!

So, what is Mary Ann. Is she the devil?

And please don't let Jason be dead. Ugh!

5. They seemed to have cranked the --
"fa ree key" factor to 11! :D Spoilers ahead.

There are just so many little verbal gems in each episode, like Jason thinking "them" was the road crew and Jessica asking Hoyt "what" he'd been having sex with.

Lots of good action, and Godric's appearance was pretty perfect. Loved loved loved Andy this espisode -- a total drunk but a total drunk who knows the score -- did anyone else notice he has never been effected by Maryanne? What type of "super" do you think he is...? Hated the Daphne as "Basil Exposition" scene -- were the writers just being lazy? There was no other, more subtle/interesting/clever way to get us that info? I really love Sam -- he really is a dog in spirit -- loyal, willing to sacrifice himself in service -- I hope his characetr catches a bit of a break one of these days. And I hope Tara gets a clue -- good heavens -- season one's skeptical/cynical/knowing Tara is almost nowhere to be seen this year -- that most be some powerful weed Maryanne is providing. I loved how Sarah Newlin just couldn't wait to stick a knife in her husband by telling him about Jason -- ah, Jason, Ryan K. has perfected Jason' s "innocent little boy" look that he gets when trapped by his own stupid actions.

Now that we know Maryanne is an immortal, just how does one destroy one?

There is clearly one big vamp/church Sam/Maryanne Stackhouse/Stackhouse confrontation coming up -- this looks like it is going to be good!

6. And I am still trying to figure out Egg.
What is up with him? How much does he know about Mary Anne? Is he as clueless as Tara or knows exactly what is up?

7. I am not sure abotu Eggs ---
At first it was easy to believe he was in on the whole thing, but with his visit to the other sacrifice site -- and his discomfort at being there -- and his confusion at picking up what appeared to be not his shirt at Sookie's after the latest orgy, I think he may be one of those who came to/stays with Maryanne the same way Tara came to her and is now controlled by her. If he was there through free will he would not need to be controlled and have the black eye thingy happening.

10. Yes, it IS getting good! :D
I get all toe-curly when Saturday hits and I start to think, "It's on tomorrow! It's on tomorrow!" -- which is actually pretty messed up, because I am starting to want the frickin' weekend to hurry up so I can get to Sunday night! :D

9. I so love True Blood, it's the only reason I keep HBO around
I actually have read the first 2 books of the Sookie Stackhouse series and working on book #3. So I have an idea of what is happening (but I won't say).

When you read the books it makes total sense that the books were made into a TV series and NOT a movie. First season pretty much mirrors the first book BUT the writers for the series really expanded some of the characters moreso than they were in the book. The book really focused more on the relationship between Sookie and Bill but oh, there was a triple murder and Jason was being questioned. You walk away from the book knowing Sookie & Bill really well and the other characters are merely the accessories to decorate this relationship.

The writers took the books to the next level by really fleshing out the secondary characters and making some of them more as primary characters. Jason really seemed like an afterthought in the first book even though there was mention that he was involved somehow related to the murders. But the TV series really made a bigger deal out of the murders & Jason. Even Sam seemed incidental in the books but he's one of the primary characters in the TV show. In a nutshell, the TV show does mirror the books but the TV show is more like the books on "V".

So yes, I kinda know what's gonna happen with the 2nd season but only with the Fellowship of the Sun. There was a Maened (Mary Ann) in the book but they really made that a bigger plotline in the TV series. What's funny is that Tara never existed until the 2nd book, she really got a great buildup in the TV series too. Jessica was not in the first too books although Hoyt was. But with Jessica being added it really brought out Hoyt's character.

What I like to see (and what's been hinted in the book and TV show so far) is that a triangle is going to form between Bill, Sookie and Eric. I mean Bill & Sookie are hot but I think they're falling into the 'boring couple' syndrome. Eric will help spice that one up.

11. I haven't read any of the books -- (spoilers)
but have spent a lotta time checking out various TB boards and have gotten a bit about them that way. It appears the creators have done a very good job at fleshing out the minor characters and made good choices about keeping/adding others -- I cannot {b]imagine TB without Lafayette's fabulousness!

And from what I have head about the books, that triangle could get VERY interesting, especially if they stick with the reason why Bill hooked up with Sookie in the first place -- which has been aluded to a few times in the series already. It could break a few hearts of the hardcore Bill/Sookie shippers, but I think it would be a wonderful development.

Between the source material and the vision of the Alan Ball team, this series could go anywhere -- which is a very exciting prospect.

13. Honestly, if they made a movie instead of the series, it would be as lame as 'Twilight'
Because 'Twilight' really only fleshed out the main 2 characters - Belle and Edward. Had they made 'Twilight' into a series they could have really built up the secondary characters like the Cullen family. Instead that movie is just about Belle and Edward but nothing else.
