Be glad you didn't have THIS fill-up...
On Wednesday afternoon I went to the Pilot truck stop in Charlotte, NC, to fuel my truck. Big trucks have two fuel tanks, and they come in 100, 150 and 200 gallon sizes--which equates to 200, 300 and 400 gallons you can carry on the tractor.

The driver before me managed to put 394 gallons of fuel in his truck--at $2.56 per gallon this fill=up cost someone $1008.64. I cannot imagine the feeling of being in a truck that close to running out of fuel.

2. That's what I said...ouch!
Worse: since I usually fill up at the half-tank mark (I have dual 100-gallon tanks), that fillup works out to four fuelings on my rig.

5. The rough part is the "three gallons in each tank"
A 200-gallon tank is pretty long, so if the fuel was more than about an inch deep in there I would have been surprised.
