...well-documented, primarily in the areas of a L-O-N-G startup time on Windows XP (that holds true for me) as well as occasionally being a memory sponge (ditto). If you wade into the Firefox Tech Weenie pool, there are a lot of "yes it does, no it doesn't" back and forth discussions on both issues. BUT...in terms of the browser itself and the plugin / add-on capabilities, it's my favorite.
I like Maxthon as a front-end for IE because I have to use IE on occasions...part of what I do for a living is design Web Sites. I also have "Multiple IE"...installations of IE 5, 5.5 and 6...that run on the same PC as IE 7. I have clients who, believe it or not, still cling to IE 6, and that's where many problems begin.
I have Safari for Windows but don't know how comparable it is to the Mac version. It's "just OK" to me...certainly better than IE, but it would never kick Firefox out of my top spot.
I was one of the people who used to pay for the ad-free Opera...since it went 100% free I will fire it up on rare occasions.
Chrome is another "OK" choice but until they get up to speed with add-ons (particularly ad blockers) it's not my first choice.
