anyone else think cats are working with the monsters/killers in horror movies?

In horror movies, how many times has a cat jumped out, scaring the humans, only to be followed by the monster/killer once the humans drop their guard. The cat in Alien is responsible for Harry Dean Stanton's death and nearly Signourney Weavers death. I'm telling you, cats have found their allies: monsters.
