49. We are the ones that take care of the neighborhood ferals.
We finally got Momma Cat inside, and she is going to get a vet visit soon as she is done nursing; we found homes for all her kittens except the little black male, who we now call Thomas and is now my son's shadow.

Momma didn't want anything to do with Chloe at first, as she wasn't one of her own, but last week when she was calling to her kittens, Chloe came running as usual, Momma Cat started licking and grooming her, and lo and behold, she let her nurse.

You are still the Cat's Angel to me, Bertha.

Bast the Protector watches over all Her children, and those devoted to them.

My memory is full, so full I can't access anything to remember it, so full I can't get to the crap I don't need to delete it to make more room. And forget about running defrag; I don't think they do shock therapy anymore.

Bless you for taking care of the kitties.

33. Animal
Named after the muppet. Almost 17 years old (the pic is about... 6 months ago) and still mean as a snake to everyone but me :D She has all her claws (and knows how to use them), can jump to the back of a dining room chair from the floor and bend around to sniff your cheek without loosing her balance. A cancer survivor (that shit cost over 5k for the surgeries, all her nipples removed), the cause of six different people requiring stitches and the guardian that sleeps just above my head every single night. I sleep very well.

37. I almost did not get her
All those years ago, when I went to view the kittens at 2 weeks old, I wanted the albino kitten but unfortunately, that one did not survive and passed away at five weeks. I then selected the exact opposite one, my Animal. I've always been sad the other one did not survive but never regretted ending up with Animal. She is an amazing cat and has been a wonderful friend for all these years.

She's in love with a Basque border collie that drives past the house each day in the back of a pick-up, and is doing everything she can to garner his attention including acting French. Please don't draw attention to the pancake on her head, she believes it's the most stylish of French chapeaux. I had to pour syrup on her head to make the damn pancake stick.

54. Tyrone, our poodle
When he followed my husband and me home last December, we couldn't tell what kind of dog he was, but he turned out to be a poodle.
He's the most wonderful dog in the world, and now that he's housebroken, he has no bad habits. He's loving and playful and he doesn't bark very often - only a quick yip to get our attention when he wants to play and we're watching TV.

Here are my girls holding down the furniture. It's what they do best.

Snotty on the table, Lucy is the tortie mix on the couch and Lina (pronounced Leena) is the orange tabby on the couch. Snotty is 13 and she hated Lina when we got her, so we got Lucy a couple of months later so Lina could have a kitty all her own. Snotty now hates them both. :eyes:

60. The dog won't even come in the house.
She was dumped off here in our driveway nearly ten years ago. When it gets incredibly cold outside, we have to actually pick her up and bring her in the house. Then she just lays by the door. We have 8 acres, some of it wooded with a creek so she has lots of shade when it gets too hot, and there's a big open shed where she can go when it storms. She's just happier outside. We can't even draw her in with treats.
