I think I'm not as hot natured as I used to be.
Not because I've lost a bunch of weight (I haven't).

I'm approaching 60.

Anyone else experience this?

1. I've definitely mellowed.
Edited on Mon Jul-20-09 03:31 PM by Javaman
Things in the past that would get a rise out of me, usually get no more than a "meh" these days.

I have learned a few basics: 1)things never are as they appear 2)usually more is coming 3)if I get pissed now and it gets worse, will I have the energy of getting even more pissed later?

"Meh", seems to sum it all up anyway.

2. Stuff just ain't worth it -
Sometimes I feel guilty for it, but the reality is that I've seen all this nonsense before, and I know how it ends, so why should I get worked up about it?

That's wisdom, I think, and, yeah, it does come about as we get older.

I love it. Life is a whole lot smoother and nicer this way. I did all my fighting when I was young - now it's time to let the youngsters fight, while I relax with a good book or do whatever the hell I feel like doing.................................

3. Oh yeah.
I always had a quick temper. Now I just don't give a damn about most things. Of course, the Prozac helps. ;)

6. Some days it's not even worth chewing through the leather restraints.
I save my indignation for things that actually matter.

Day-to-day regular bullshit...meh. Not worth getting by blood pressure up over trivialities any more.

7. I have been having some killer hot flashes at night lately and they make
me hot natured (mean and irritable).*

:nuke:
:grr:

*I wasn't sure what type of hot natured you were talking about so I just covered both bases.
