Can I just say that I Southwest's boarding procedures?

I hate Southwest's boarding procedures.

Give me a seat when I book my flight, thank you. We did that stupid online check in EXACTLY 24 hours to the second before our flight tomorrow, and we're still the last two people in Group A. So we'll still get shitty seats, especially if the flight is coming from somewhere else.

And on our flight home we're going to have to leave in the middle of a family get-together to find a computer and check into our flight. I don't want to have to think about that when I'm on vacation.

1. I think the Group "A" seats go preferentially to Business Plus or whatever it's called

4. Yes, you're probably right. It's just so much easier when I book on American and I can

choose my seat from that little online graphic. None of this silly messing around.

That someone at the family gathering will have a cell phone with internet access that you can probably use to check in.

I am posting this from my blackberry now, as I am sitting here waiting for a trailer hitch to be put on my car and got bored just sitting here.

3. I have internet access on my smart phone but you know how it is. It's still way slower

and clunkier than being on a computer. Considering we ended up at the very end of the group even though we checked in the first second we could, I don't want to know where we'll end up if I check in on my phone.

5. check it out beforehand, and see

if it is feasible to do it from your phone. Follow all the steps right up to the actual check in. I bet you will be fine, and wont have to leave the get together!
