across from the hospital soliciting people for their pain killers. It was bad enough that she was asking people for pills, but she also wanted them for FREE!!!!

everyone now expects everything FREE.... I'm sure Rush Limbaugh has to pay for all his pain meds.....like fucking truckloads of them!!!!

3. there was a pain management clinic

in Pensacola (well, north of Pensacola, dont remember the exact town) that was literally swarming with drug addicts in the parking lot, hoping to score pain medication from someone leaving the clinic.

That was a few years ago, the doctor that ran the clinic is now in prison for the deaths of several people who died under his care. They called the combination of pain killers, which included oxycontin, the Graves cocktail. The doctors name was Graves.

Not sure this is really related to the OP, but it made me remember all of that.

6. It really pissed me off

even if I did have pain pills.I wasn't about to give HER one..sheesh. If you are in pain, go see your DR. and get your own. (that was her cover story, that she was in so much pain)

7. they all have that story

some of them might really be in pain, and just not have any insurance or any money to see a doctor. Sometimes they see a doctor when they can afford it, and get narcotics, and then get so addicted that it (the addiction) takes over their lives.

A friend of mine's husband who had a legitimate back problem in the beginning, and who was a patient of the "Dr. Graves" who I mentioned above became totally addicted to the narcotics, to the point he started selling or rather pawning off all of their property to buy drugs, and by the end was buying narcotics and boiling them down and then injecting them.

In other words, the people addicted will do anything or say anything to feed that addiction.

5. It didn't work with me..i leave the clinic with a HUGE bag full of meds

and people somehow think that one of those vials I have is for pain..it isn't..
