1. We;ve got plenty - regular and black swallowtails, Gul frittilaries, cabbage
Can't think of what else. But we have a field, maybe half to three-quarters of an acre planted in wildflowers and a big clump of milkweed right outside the bathroom window, so I get to watch the butterflies, wasps, bees and hummingbirds visit the flowers.

Though, come to think about it I have not seen as many bees this year as last. The other "wildlife" I get to see on the milkweed are the anoles that lurk and try to blend in so they can catch insects visiting the flowers.

9. not as many Red Admirals as usual - I have seen a few b-flies, but not

as many as other summers. There were very few fire-flies this year, also. Maybe it was just too cool, or something here.

3. We were noticing that as well.
I don't even have any swallowtail caterpillars on the parsley - and we've got a shitload of parsley growing very near the butterfly bush. The only thing we've seen are smaller butterflies like painted ladies.

5. Now that you mention it, neither have I!
My butterfly bush isn't blooming yet, but I haven't seen any on the flowers this year! On the brighter side, we do seem to have fairly many honeybees. More than in the past few years anyhow.

Now I'm worried! :scared:

yellow ones and black ones - don't know my butterflies very well - have a severe larvae-phobia.

edit to add a few bad pix:

I also have a bunch of these soft orange and black beetles all over the bolting parsley

7. I have seen very few
but the milkweed and butterfly bushes aren't blooming yet . I have a few bees on the bee balm , but what I find missing the most are the dragonflies .I used to get tons of them but now I barely see any.

Last year I had a grand total of three monarchs!

My bird feeders are attracting lots of little brown birds , red wing black birds, house finches and cardinals . That is VERY little of the variety I used to get.

Little brown birds need love too:fistbump:
