Starting tomorrow I will have my sanity severly tested
My mom and stepdad are going down to the Outerbanks and I am dogsitting/birdsitting/housesitting. The dog, Willie is a sweet Sheltie but he's a bit...neurotic. Barks at everything and anything. Is terrified of thunderstorms oh and has a *thing* for the parakeet.
The parakeet chirps and squawks and he runs around in circles beneath the cage barking and whining. Oh and the parakeet makes noise to encourage this behavior. And god forbid me if I pay attention to the bird. Thats one jealous doggie.
So for the next week I will be listening to this: CHIRP CHIRP BEEP BEEP (did I mention the bird imitates the smoke detector?!) ARF ARF ARF CHIRP SQUAWK BEEP BEEP ARF CHIRP ARF CHIRP ARF ARF ARF...God help me...:scared:

you've got a smoke alarm with double redundancy!

(i should add that i could sleep in the same room as a locomotive. i slept through demolition at one of the houses i lived in (in the room next to mine).

but i feel for you lighter sleepers.

8. Do you have a gas oven?
Sure would be a shame if the flame blew out while you were away running errands.

11. That is so funny!
Could you throw a cover over the birdcage and give the Sheltie a tranquilizer?

Or do the same to yourself instead ? :)
