Do you like hummus?
The very best hummus I have ever had, so far, is at Pars, a Persian restaurant in L.A. It is to die for.

4. It depends upon the spices. There are a million different hummus recipes.
I like about 5 of them.

6. Yum
I used to make the best hummus when I had a house. I used apple-cider vinegar instead of lemon juice and I loved it.

9. I LOVE hummus.
There is no place here in Bangor that makes anything special, so I have to make my own.

10. We often make our own
It turns out okay, but we cannot seem to duplicate the Pars recipe. We can tell it has lots of garlic and olive oil, and it's light on the lemon juice. We even go to Mediterranean/Middle Eastern delis to buy the tahini. It's a minor obsession. :-)

12. I understand the obsession.
I've tried doing things like frying onions and garlic in olive oil before adding them to the mix, varying the lemon juice content, etc. It's always a little different and always good.

17. So do we
Although I am the only one who seems to like lamb, lol. I have attached the menu of the restaurant below. Another favorite appetizer is the Kashk O' Bademjan - highly recommended if you like eggplant!

21. Love, love, love it!
I make my own and add marinated artichoke hearts in the food processor with the chickpeas. I tend to go light on the garlic since my husband is a real spoil-sport when it comes to garlic.

Hope you figure out how to duplicate your favorit.

:hi:

22. I do. Plus, it has sentimental value.
I first discovered it through a friend of Mom's upon whom I had a mad teenage crush, which has persisted well into adulthood. :loveya:
