My cat steals doorstops.
There's this door that won't stay open, so I've been holding it open with one of those rubber wedge-shaped doorstops. But I keep finding the door partly closed and the doorstop moved.

So I have the day off today, and I'm sitting at the computer and I hear these rustling, thumping sounds and sotto voce meowing, and there's my gray tabby boy, Jeoffry, carrying the doorstop around in his teeth and gnawing on it.

I don't know what possesses cats sometimes.

4. I once had a cat
who would steal the half-cooked meat right off a Hibachi. Not the cheap stuff, either. Boneless chicken breasts and rib-eyes were her favorites.

6. Kitties are so funny.
My son has a little miniature town in our basement, complete with model railroad trees. This morning one of the trees was upstairs on the floor, with several "leaves" missing. Hmmmmm ...
