My dad says that he is going to move back up here.
Edited on Mon Jul-13-09 10:03 PM by ccharles000
So my dad sent my sister a letter saying that he was coming back to Greensboro because he was shot and does not want to stay down there(South Carolina). I hope he does not stay long.:(

4. yes but it was his stupidity.
He and a friend got drunk and started fighting, his friend pulled out a gun and shot him. Don't fill bad for him he is an idiot.

11. I wondered also about if this meant literally wounded?

I am wondering if the father owns the place where one or perhaps two of his progeny reside. I don't spend much time here in the lounge, I am too busy spreading doom and gloom in LBN about how horrible the USA has always been. Anyway perhaps this OP has been baring his life online here and many people know more precisely what to expect when "dad" returns.

Uh oh! I see that he was shot by a "friend" during "adult" horseplay...

My advice...

Flee!

And don't look back. Life is tenuous enough to spend any time with people who suck.

Some folks glow and most folks suck. A major difference between those who succeed in life and those who seem to dogged by misfortune is, simply, who you/they spend time with.

Which friendships you/they cultivate and who you/they absolutely avoid turns out to be even more important than the obvious implications. Too involved to explore in a post here but pay attention and learn this.

Time to join couchsurfing.com and head to California.

Best wishes!

13. Eww
I hope it works out for you and I wish you the very best in all things. I made a decision a long time ago to keep fucked up people out of my life as far as it's humanly possible, regardless of personal connections. Some people are very similar to a poison, or a disease vector and simply cause damage of one kind or another no matter where they go, or what they do.

14. Oh, I am so sorry
I hope you don't have to deal with him too much, and that when you do, it's on neutral turf so you always have the option to get up and leave.

if your Father starts to give you a hard time, don't stand for it. Be nice, take care of him, but don't put up with his shit.
