Robert Plant, CBE. Congrats. He can add that to the "Most Arrogant Prick In Rock" award I gave him.

He was the bare - chested screamer who embodied the phrase sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll.

Robert Plant was almost as renowned for his hellraising behaviour as for his performances with Led Zeppelin.

But old rockers never die - they just end up at Buckingham Palace.

Yesterday 60-year-old Plant became the latest in a long line of popular musicians to be honoured when he received his CBE from Prince Charles.

1. Robert Plant can't be the most arrogant prick in rock.
That's Lou Reed's job.

9. Lou Reed is alive and toured with Laurie Anderson last year
He may be arrogant, but the man can rock and roll.

6. He was with several other groups before Zep, and there are pretty many
arrogant pricks in rock - I doubt he would be in the top 40.

8. I respect Plant for not having any work done on his face...
and also for backing out of that LZ "reunion" tour nonsense

11. I agtree with both of those awards. Being an arrogant prick means never having to say you're sorry.
While other rock greats are doing cover band versions of their younger days (some call them reunion tours), he's doing what he was doing in his younger days--innovating and creating.

I think it takes an arrogant prick to think that people want to hear what they have to say and do, even at 60. I'm glad he's a jackass. I wouldn't want to know him, but I love what he's doing.
