I'm tired and will go to sleep soon... I had a bad dream last night
I was walking in a mall with my youngest brother Paulie. We came across a place where someone lived... yeah, it was a dream... It bothered us both, it was obvious that not only the person but most of his belongings had simply vanished. My brother went to get someone to look at it and I looked at what was left... I decided to steal a PS3 controller that was there but it kept turning into a Wii controller, so I left it, I was afraid my brother would catch my stealing from someone that had vanished. My brother came back and had found no one to look, so we left. We were then walking down a street... Full of factories... and some guy walking towards us jumped in a puddle and splashed my brother... intentionally... then started cursing us. As an aside, both my brother and I have short tempers that we struggle to control. My brother got pissed and chased after the guy... I can see him... I think I know him but I cannot place him... He ran around a fence and up to the top of a small building... maybe 30 feet high... my brother saw this and climbed from our side of the fence... The guy reached the top first and saw my brother, and pulled out a baseball bat... I tried to warn Paulie but it was too late... The guy hit him as he reached the top, knocking him back... He bounced his head off of some boxes that were stacked high behind him and then hit the ground with a noise that told me he was dead. I ran up to him and lifted his head... he was dead. I looked around and there were people calling for help and the police... the guy had come down... I pulled a gun out of my coat and shot him in the head... Then I woke up.

I called Paulie shortly after I woke and everything is fine... Still bugs me though, I do not usually remember dreams this long or this vividly. I do feel better writing it out though... I'm going to go get some sleep, thanks for reading!

2. heh, yes I did
My brother is a deacon in his church and I'm an atheist. He listened to my dream and then said to me "What kind of atheist are to you call me in the middle of the night because of a bad dream about me? and why are you stealing?" hehehehehehe, we both had a good laugh about that :D

4. That's a neat little allegory in the first part of the dream.
When faced with a crisis, your brother (the theist) goes looking for help (presumably from god), while you (the atheist), try to take control of the situation (by means of a game controller).
Your brother comes back alone (god is not available to help out), and you find that the type of control you can get is not what is needed (apparently the wii controller won't do), so the crisis escalates.

5. woah.... Not one bit of that even occurred to me... thats cool... it makes me think of more though
Amazing how the mind can work, I have never attempted to think of dreams in those terms. The person that vanished though, must be me. Last year, I first lost my job (and still unemployed) and a short time later lost almost everything I owned in a fire... I am still fighting with the insurance company for my money and have been living the last year with almost nothing. Deep, heh.

Thanks!
