You stay classy, Lindsay Lohan (refuses to pay locksmith's fee)
Locked out Li-Lo is a Mean Girl

By ALISON MALONEY

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/usa/2526029/Locked-out-Lindsay-refuses-to-play-Locksmith.html

NOT for the first time, LINDSAY LOHAN found herself locked out of SAMANTHA RONSON'S flat last night.

But her on-off lover hadn't changed the locks - the actress was forced to call a locksmith after losing her keys.

And the obliging call-out guy soon found out that you don't mess with a Mean Girl after Lindsay sent him away empty handed.

The 23-year-old star walked around the entrance of the house as the locksmith started working on the door, watched by Lindsay's pal Christy.

She then found an open window and exclaimed, "What the f***, the lock just came undone. You know what sir, we already got in, thanks. We just broke in. We just found a way in."

She then refused to pay the man's call out fee, claiming he was asking for $300 (£187).

"This guy... is asking me to pay him but he didn't get me in, Christy did. Can you tell him? He didn't even get me in," she told a photographer outside her home.

"He's trying to charge me $300. I've paid these guys before, $80 (£50), and now he wants money for trying to get me in, he didn't do his job!"

The star then offered the locksmith £13 ($20), before returning indoors and refusing to pay anything.

1. Believe it or not, I can relate.
My (soon-to-be-X) husband is a home improvement contractor, and there is no shortage of people who will brag about how much money they have or how much they are inheriting, then nickel-and-dime him on materials or labor. And he does an excellent job, too! I've seen his work. x(

2. It's really stupid.
I've had contractors thank us because we were so easy to work with but all we did was treat them like professionals and received the same treatment in return.

3. I'm sure there's a lot more behind this story
I've encountered celebrities who are nice and down-to-earth and just act like regular, respectful folks (including, once upon a time, Chuck Norris!), and I can tell you that people will willingly and gladly perform services for free for them that they would normally charge an arm and a leg for.
