Anyone know what Keith Olbermann meant by this.
"your cell phones are all empty, you have messed with the primal forces of nature and we will not have any of that. "

Since the only thing that I have heard used in doctrines before is his use of Nature, I figured I would comment on that. Heh, I could comment on, the last part which seems to be some claim of authority, but first I would ask where does he say his authority comes from.

Personally what I know about belief in nature is it advocates for the ideas of law of the jungle, survival of the fittest, and no belief in morality. It is a false doctrine in my view, and leads to many bad things.

The nature doctrine makes people no more then animals, and although animals are beautiful creatures, the dignity of the human spirit made in the image of Almighty God is far above the rules of nature.

You will notice 'nature' rules in many dark films, it is a doctrine of destruction for man. Many actions in many sectors are based on rule of the jungle. But the problem is if people are held to the standard of law of the jungle, they better be the most powerful thing in existence, or if those same rules are applied to them, they are really going to be in a bad place.

Personally, being just a sinner like everyone else, I believe all men are equal and noble in spirit, all are creations of God, with their own individual talents and special qualities. In that it is the caring for other people, and the sharing and empathy with other people, even enemies and people we don't know, that make us better then just animals after whatever we think we need next. And I know I am no worse or better then any other person, thank God for his grace.

Anyone else think he was talking about the 'nature' ideas?

Thanks, was that a statement said to the newscaster, from Warren Ned Beatty's character?

I never noticed the nature reference in it last time I saw it, I usually catch that, but it has been years since I have seen it. Actually I may never have seen it except clips now that I think about it.

Thanks for filling in, so what was the context? Did it tie in with the worst people segment?
