Poll question: Toilet Paper Poll!
Over, under, or indifferent? Do you like it natural or flavored?

Just be glad the 70's are over - the era of pastel-colored TP's! :o

3. Oooo!
I left two-ply out of my poll!

Of course, it wouldn't be a TP poll if I didn't run out of something. :-)

22. The tiles are blue...
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 11:02 PM by Cassandra
as is the tub, sink and the toilet seat. The entire toilet was blue, but when the city forced a low-flow toilet on me, I made them leave my old blue seat. The floor tiles are randomly patterned in two shades of blue and white. The other bathrooms in the building are pink, yellow and a lovely nile green.
And, of course, under rather than over. What other way could possibly be right?
edit: left out a word.

7. AND MADE FROM RECYCLED PAPER!!
We use only Seventh Generation toilet paper, no difference in price compared to other, earth-detroying earth-hating toilet paper, it's super soft, and if we all used recycled paper toilet paper, we could save tens of millions of trees every year.

AND NO BLEACHING!

Really, trust me, seventh generation toilet paper is silky wonderful. Do the world a favor, and start using it (or another comparable item).

And to people who put the paper over the roll, so it's dangles - you are dead wrong. You are so amazingly, totally wrong, I can't believe anyone does that. Paper always goes behind. Always. :-)

9. you can't reach it!!!!
It makes you do weird things with your wrist.

I use just about every other Seventh Generation product, but their TP IS way higher in price than what I usually buy. I am cheap, and can't worry about what my TP does to the earth. :P

I don'y think TP is earth-hating. The earth NEEDS TP. It does! Nature created people so it could have TP!

The planet will survive us. It's the people I wonder about. After 5 billion years in existence, and the planet will shake us off like a bad virus that was only here in the blink of gnat's eye. Achoo.

10. Can't reach it? It's four inches further away!
And if it's under, you can grab the paper with fingers, and when you go to rip the paper, you can brace the toip of your hand on the roll to keep it from spinning, so you get a) a nice, clean break in the paper, and b) you don't spin another couple feet of paper out of the roll, which always happens when you have the paper going down in front.

At least, that's been my experience.

And aesthetically, I think it looks better/cleaner/less-cluttered to have the paper trail hanging in the back, than in the front.

11. Amen
Toilet paper is the one thing that by-law should be required to be made of recycled paper. It makes me sick seeing people with Costco size bales of unrecycled toilet paper - what a waste - literally.

14. Seventh Generation Toilet Paper
I have some of that stuff. Occasionally I need to strip paint from some piece of wrought iron, so it comes in handy. Scratches the detail out of the iron, though. }(

who was pope and prime minister, not to mention a barbarian, would realize how soft seventh generation is. . .

8. Quilted and not on a roller
I like to keep 2 rolls on the tank at all times. Putting it on the roller just causes arguements about who didn't change the roll or who left just 3 sheets on the roll. Besides, my system ensures that there is no running out and gives a 1 roll period of time to go buy new TP.

13. No roller here, either...
I leave the roll on the edge of the vanity. (it's a weird lay-out) My GF keeps a pile of rolls in a basket on the floor next to the throne. When I saw that, I KNEW she was the girl for me!

12. Under
It's aesthethically more pleasing, and the roll's weight makes tearing easier. I don't "under"stand the over people. I'm not over. I won't get over.

18. I don't care which way it goes, as long as it's cheap.
Out of habit, I usually put it under (seems to tear easier that way), but I'm not especially particular, especially in the middle of the night. I won't take a roll off the spindle to change it, for instance.

I buy bargain-basement 1-ply because I have a crappy job and $300/mo. in student debt, among other things. :)

23. Am I the only one who likes it under???
If I put it over, I'll pull a length out, and it breaks apart immediately. When I put it underhand, I can yank it until the optimum amount is achieved, then I can just rip it off.

And I favor the dense-knit kind, cause I can't stand ass lint.

24. As long as its in its place
I hate having toilet paper that isn't in its little holder on the wall. If I have to figure that mess out myself when the times comes, it gets very upsetting. :-(
