Granted it was homemade and just baked, but :wow:

3 hours and gone in like 3 minutes.

1. That's not surprising
you have to eat homemade bread while it is still warm.

7. ...

excuse the kind of strange measurements - it's just the one that came with my bread machine

1 cup + 2 Tbs lukewarm water
4 tsp oil
1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
(1.5 Tbs powdered milk - I never use it)
1.25 tsp salt
2.5 Tbs brown sugar, firmly packed
3 cups bread flour (I just use unbleached white)
scant Tbs yeast
.75 tsp cinnamon (I just use a scant tsp - cinnamon kills yeast but WTH?)
half cup raisins

cinnamon and raisins go in at the beep, towards the end of kneading before first rise - if you are doing by hand.

This can obviously be baked in the oven - instructions abound, but my machine has a "sweet bread" setting and that is what I used.

6. That ain't nothing.
Give me a knife and a huge plate of butter and I could consume that loaf, singlehandedly, in less than three minutes. I like raisin bread almost as much as I like pie. ;)
