Does going to a strip club count as cheating?
You know not just going but getting the nastiest lap dances all night long?

1. I would think the SO would have to make that call.
I know men who go to strip clubs with their wives and get lap dances and it's all good.

I would not want my SO getting lap dances, but since he's never even set foot in a strip club, I don't have any worries

fine/great or whatever then more power to them. :)

It reminds me of a poignant quote from Babylon 5:

"How will this end?"

"In fire."

8. "Cheating" is pretty vague. It's not adultery.
However provocative the entertainment is, it is not sexual conduct. It does not deprive the spouse of intimacy, risk procreation or disease. So, no.

I also don't think people give up all autonomy when they get married, so it is up to the individual and not his or her spouse.

I personally wouldn't think it was cheating since there is no sex and/or sexual attachment, but others will disagree. I do think it's gross though.

It was only because he used the word "nasty" in his description. It reminded me of the scene from Knocked Up where the dancer forces the guy's face in her butt. :D

16. Depends on whether the spouse feels it is cheating
if she thinks it is all in good fun, and doesn't mind him doing it, then I don't see the problem.

If he sneaks behind her back, and she would be hurt, it wouldn't be a good idea.

22. If you know that your partner would disapprove, it's a betrayal
"Cheating" to me implies more sexual contact than a lap dance, but doing things you have to hide for fear of anger or hurt is dishonest...

36. I agree,
but I would add that if the stripper is grabbing your shit or trying to get you off somehow it could be considered cheating. I use to go all the time and get table dances, my girlfriend didn't like it and although she's just as hot as any of them, felt like she wasn't pretty enough or something. It all boils down to insecurity for a lot of women. As a control she'd go see male strippers when they would pass by and come home and fuck the shit out of me after. I didn't care.

her male friends are invited and watching your every move.

And you tell her way way way ahead of time.

39. This may sound stupid, but for me, it's a matter of degrees.
If he was going to a strip club for a bachelor party or a friend's birthday, and I knew in advance, I'd have no problems with it.

If he went a couple of times a year to go 'out with the guys', and I knew in advance, I'd have no problems with it.

If he felt the need to go frequently - telling me, or not - I'd start to have problems with it.

If he was going on a regular basis to see a PARTICULAR dancer, I'd have divorce papers drawn up.

But, that's just me.

47. It really depends on the context. I went when I was married
I was appointed designated driver and drove some friends out to someone's house who was having a return from deployment party. Anyways after several hours and many drinks two out of the three wanted to go to a strip club, the third was sleeping in the car. So I took them out there, we tried to wake the third one up and he just stayed asleep in the car in the parking lot of the strip club. We went inside and sat there bored to tears while they were getting lap dances, one payed for a stripper to give me a lap dance without even asking me, anyways I went to the booth and I say after 2 and a half minutes it was over and nothing spectacular. Anyways when I went on post deployment leave I told her about it and she wasn't bothered, in fact she encouraged me much earlier in the relationship to get out more and do things with my friends such as go to a strip club or a regular club.

Now if I went there to get lap dances with the intentions of landing a stripper then that would cross the line of cheating.
